After following Jim Carrey for a while and a series of serious flops... Something tells me that this is going to be a life changing movie for him.. Well, I guess there is no better way to put it as the title itself "YesMan"!!!

Yes, the movie is about how life sucks and making it turn around. What a flat storyline many would say, but after watching it for myself, I must say, i laughed so hard that tears were rolling out my eye sockets!!! OMG.. I guess it's in the details that bring the flat story to life... Jim Carrey, you rocked!

And by the way, the female lead in the show was HOT!!! Zooney Deschanel, OMG, even the name is HOT... definately one of my hot babes this year...

Lastly, since we are on the subject of hot babes, I think Kathy Perry is flamming.... I love her attitude n her figure... How on earth did she get that wristline! ;)

Not many days left for 2008... It sure had been a busy busy year for me. Having to go back to studies, one of the many changes I had. Just received my results and is now so glad to take a break till the next semester starting mid Jan 09. Also, 2 new staff are now assigned under my care, that's actually more work if you ask. But i guess, we all need need changes from time to time, dun you agree? We are all humans, heehee or are we dancers? I would like to wish all a bullish good health and great parties ahead as we launch off to the next 2009...

Watch tropic thunder 2 weeks back, but I wasn't about to go into that. While waiting for it to start, the movie trailer "rec" was shown. Now being a zombie freak fan, the images of those ugly disturbing zombies "burned" into my mind, so much so that I actually dreamt about the movie on Halloween!
Cannot take it anymore and determined to watch it, I've finally convinced a friend to watch it with me and I must say... its been a very long time since "the ring" that really "scared" me... For tht fact, I think its worth every penny.. lol.. Actually needed to lock the bedroom door to sleep tht night.. ha!

I think the movie has got a very good storyline, plus the way how the movie was presented as from the perspective of the victim was indeed good, certainly made my hair stands!!
Sometimes its inspiring to go for less commericalise films such as "rec". Btw, its in spainish and the English version will only be release Mar 09.

Life is difficult, with the perspective that the world is a challenging environment, we tend to gain joy and find happiness in our life simple pleasure. For me, one of the simplest form of joy is to have breakfast with my dad almost every working day.

Traffic doesn't care, the word used "traffic" is just an analogy. We can substitute it with "organization", "school", etc. In short, we got to learn to care about ourselves. If we depend on others, then chances are we will be less happy.

Look for Good! I love this phrase. With the picture to illustrate, I think all is self-explanatory. If only we "adults" are just as loving as we were as "kids". This world will be a much better place to live in. Though this cannot be realistic, but I believe in creating such environment, like go for a holiday and road trip ;)

Thinking to myself, wtf?! so early block wht?! Slowly inched forward and was inspected. And guess wht qns was asked by the the traffic officer?

I am Legend or Alien vs Predator 2?

I've always like the Alien movie series, like how the Aliens needed a human body to cross over as the adult form. I think the coolest of all is their acidic blood, which even if one kills it, their blood would like spray all over, gettin everyone injured.
Unfortunately, when it came as Alien vs Predator, the first movie, I find it didn't really matched the Alien series. Ended with lots of unnecessary killing, repeated scenes, without much of a story to follow. Dun have much faith for this part 2, though its always nice to rekindle the menace of Aliens. I'm an Alien fan, Sigourney Weaver was really cool ;)

Think I'm heading for Will Smith - I am Legend first bah... Still got good seats available on gv online... More Zombies... ;P

With time for myself and a surge of feeling burrowed deep within. Many times I find myself having difficult expressing it, even to the ones dearest. Blame it on the hectic urban living life style, blame it on the expectation, blame it on our intelligence to give excuses, blame it on everything else.
Even if it has been said, would one think the person listening would truly understand and not get it misinterpreted? I mean, how many of us would actually bother or go deep to understand or feel for someone else?
This is not the case for pple falling in Love. Pple falling in love would always put on the freshest pair of perspective while together, even if it is not clearly understood, much patience and benefits of doubt would be given to the other partner. It is such a beautiful chemistry.

So much for the world is moving faster, oxygen running lower, infatuation going higher. Music is here by my side, to hear and heal. No solutions, no criticism, no judgment, no expectations, just the presence.

Alright, dun bother to interpret whatever was written. Cause its just plain crap that came up while working on my latest music compilation. Time has come to move on! I believe that I did mention before that someday I would do a collection of chill out tunes. Today is the day that someday is! I’ve had fun on this project, reminds me so much of the timeless favorites from Enigma, Deep Forest, Robert Miles, etc. And Yes, I actually dug them out and listened to them all over again. As a music lover and aspiring DJ, tremendous joy is derived by just sharing the beautiful pieces. Naive as a child can be ;P

Tim Kring, creator of NBC’s hit series Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that the upcoming second season will constitute a new volume in the multi-volume series, with new characters and an entirely new storyline. “If you remember, the opening of the pilot pronounced the episode as the beginning of Volume One,” Kring said in an interview. “Volume One comes to a conclusion at the end of episode 23, and Volume Two starts with the opening of season two. And Volume Two is a different story.”

Kring added: “We could have new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes. So I would prepare the audience for that idea, that it’s not just a continuing serialized storyline about only these people. It’s a little more the 24 model than the Lost model.”

The first season of Heroes is exploring what happens when a disparate group of ordinary people discover they have extraordinary abilities and attempt to save New York from disaster.

Alrite, spent my holidays catching up on Heroes Season 2 and have watched 7 EPs of it. Season 2 started off a bit slow in my opinion, a couple over-emphasise repeated scenes, but the story is building up and hopefully it would still live up to the expectation of many...
Come to think abt it, maybe having the ability to turn things into Gold isn't tht bad too.. or better still, turn ones waste water into Petrol.. Gross! wahhaha... ;)

Sometimes weekends just can't get any better than a 5 star party and a real good movie!!

Stardust! Haven't seen much marketing for this movie but yeaaaaaahh! This movie is such an adventure, not to mention a beautiful love story tht comes free with it.. keke.. With some of my favourite actor/actress like Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffier... Roby is such a baddie in the movie and "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaah"!!
IMO, it is definitely a 5 out 5 star movie... The story is exciting and the casts just looks so fresh and having such a fun time.. ;)

Dazed Out! Wooow! This party is definitely reaching new heights!!! With new lazers, strobes and smoke machines, the venue itself has transformed. It has also lured my good buddy who is not a default trance DJ to start playing trance music! waaahaha.. The crowd was just so up for it... Friday night, haven't been to the movies for the longest time and just decided to do so. Picked up my credit card and booked 2 ticks to Resident Evil?!! OMG, I dun know lah, so many movies are there, cute/ romantic ones but I guess the beauty of Milla and those repugnant zombies still managed to grab my attention...

All time fav scene.. Soldier walking into unattended house, searching and clearing for zombies.. no zombies to be found.. Out of sudden, zombie appears from the back and grab soldier.. Soldier struggles to get lose... zombie rips a piece of flesh from soldier.. Soldier kills the zombie, but leave the wound unattended... No one knows soldier was bitten, soldier turned into zombie eventually and starts to haunt friends.. lol... All too predicable?? If it turns out tht Milla dies in the show, killed by zombies in the most unpredictable matter, would it then make it a good show?! waaahaha... I guess no one really likes totally unpredictable events ;P

All I can say is tht.. the god damn umbrella corporation is still out there.. #$%^%$

Happy pple, happy faces all rnd at Dazed out last Friday. It was a magical night, the angels did came and spray star dust over the party!

A night I came expecting the least, but it sure turned out to be probably one of my most memorable nights so far. DJz Jong and Yukun were wicked in their own ways, I've always enjoyed DJz with an attitude.

A night where DJz played using Pioneer CDJ to Denon CDJ to Pioneer CDJ to Serato (turntables) to Denon CDJ and back to Pioneer CDJ (with serato)... waaaaaahahah.. are you confused? Now tell me where else in the world can you see DJz used so many equipment for one event! Big thanks to Razaq for tht one minute tutorial, I already see it coming tht someone would be asking me to play using denon CDJ and without ur advise I wouldn't have pull it off with style ;P
Oh by the way, Razaq, I didn't realise you can do tht hands up in the air sh*t.. Wahaha ;)

From Zed and friends - Ben, we enjoyed your warm-up sound.. But where is ur CD for this month?!!

I went down to Mustafa centre for shopping... Dun really have anything in mind to begin with... It's my first time there and found tht MSF has almost anything, not to mention whatever!!
Thanks to the connection in between buildings, making the whole experience like walking in a giant maze... To top up the confusion factor, one can actually find the same goods/department on different flr in the different building! Are you confused yet?! keke...

Just as I go through the heaps of goods tht are of no interest to me and starting to wonder that MSF is probably nothing more than just an india flavour OG shopping concept mall...

RUN FOR HOPE 2007

Run for Hope 2007 is inspired by the courageous story of Terry Fox, a Canadian teenager, who despite an amputated leg due to bone cancer, ran a 'marathon of hope' across Canada to raise funds for cancer research, so that one day a cure could be found. From the child within me, I'll like to thank all my peers, ladies, buddies... for coming down and rocking the club together... Ur support is the only reason why we're doing this.
It was certainly a fun night to play along Dekoyan and Yukun, though I'm still puzzled why Dekoyan passed me the control earlier than I've expected... keke... Oh by the way, she played a couple of tunes tht I had in mind as well... Great DJz think alike?? haha!
For YK, he played some real fresh nu-rocking tunes. Great set as always, enjoyed it till the end.. Ended with yet another great closing track... Simply Lve it, Stylish man, this chap is like a real fine wine.... If one is serious abt music, Yukun never fails to deliver the latest.... He is like from the future.. haha.... Maybe he can teleport....

Besides having a good time, I'm realli glad to see Stingray!!! Oh the fish tht rocked LR with me last yr... He is yet another local monster...

After yet another horrendous week of non-stop nonsense and neck squeezing deadlines... With the weekend here and before I start to sink in the thoughts where there isn't much to do in Singapore...
I've decided to give myself a little treat this evening on some finer side of dining. My recommendation for this first EP of Glorious Food, I'll like to bring you down to riverside walk, which is just across clarke quay to this place call "Brewerkz Restaurant & Microbrewery"

Here is Brewerks story:
We opened our doors in June 1997. The two people who brought Brewerkz to life are Devin Kimble and Daniel Flores. Unhappy with the general standard and variety of beers, Devin and Daniel decided to make their own. Besides handcrafted beer, Brewerkz also offers you great American-style food and good, old fashioned "down home" service.

Where we are and what we have
Let me start by telling you where we figure on the map. You'll find us on the Singapore river at Riverside Point. Brewerkz has a factory-like interior with an open-plan 18-hectoliter brewery. If you feel like a game of pool or darts, it's right here. Or if you feel like chilling out, grabbing a beer and watching your favorite sport, do so, or sit outdoors and just watch the river go by.

When are we open?

My Sony MDR-V700DJ looks like shit and makes me feel like vomit!!!
Some how the quality of the ear pads did not match up to the price tag of this headphone!!!
Pretty mad with the Operator at Sony today when I called to request to purchase a new pair of earpads..

The brief conversation goes like this:
Female Operator: Oh, you got to go down to Wisma to make the order...
Ben: You mean You dun have stock and want me to go down just to make an order, wait for abt a week or so and then go down again to collect???
Female Operator: Yes, tht is wht you need to do..
Ben: Can I not order through the phone and collect it when You have the stock??
Female Operator: No, You can't just order over the phone...
Ben: Is it realli necessary for me to make 2 trips to get my stuff???
Female Operator: Okay, you can write an email to Icare.Services@ap.sony.com to request for the new ear pads... We need Black & White...
Ben: @$%$@@#.... I'll do just tht....

To Sony, better buck up on ur quality or dun charge so expensively!!! And by the way, the sales guy at the bugis also made my blood boiled, instead of offering help, he went on and said the ears pads dun just deteriorate tht easily... (Sounds like rubbing salt to the wound, isn't it?)

So the last 2 days of my leave just passed like tht! OMG.. and no, I wasn't rotting at home as I would like too..
I've been busy helping my dad with some small claims tribunal thingy this morning, yesterday was like busy preparing some "black and white" facts for him, as there had been some disagreement with their renovation contractor. Going through some of the defective works from the contractor.. I would term them as the contractors from HELL....

Well.. after the consultation this morning, at least there was a certain settlement reached, though not entire as wht I would like it to be... But at the very least, my forks were happy....

Afternoon, picked up my inquisitive part of the brain and headed off to see a musical guru... picked up a few tricks and currently addicted to working on it.. Believe me, after dinner I headed straight to my PC and finished off a half baked piece of mashup mix, took me a few hours and ended with my lady's voice on the background... hehe...

Evening, finished off some house work in order to mute the background vocal and back to my PC again.. ;PP

Time is short.. I need to quickly finish off the rest of the work before it starts again.. waahaha..

After a week plus of intensive road marches and almost ended with a broken back.. (think I'm really getting old for backpacking style holidays)
Finally get to knock out straight for the past 12 hrs on my bed... aaahhh!!!

Yes it sure is good to be home, but on the back of my head,

I know arrows are waiting for me in the office... Well, lets just leave it till Monday for the time being... Going to hibernate at home for the next two days..
